Guwahati: At least 18 people were injured after a bus they were travelling in met with an accident in Kokrajhar, Assam on Saturday.
A police source informed that the bus (AS01PC5625) as heading to Guwahati from Alipurduar in West Bengal.
It was not known how the accident took place but the police said that the driver may have dosed off due to tiredness and crashed onto a divider on the highway near Serfanguri in Kokrajhar.

The doctors are treating the injured and some are being referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for better treatment, the police said.
Another source said that the people injured had hired the bus earlier on Friday to visit a “witch doctor” in Alipurduar.

Investigation regarding the incident is being carried out.
