In a case of carelessness on the part of an Assam Police officer, a 4-year-old received bullet injury while playing with the service pistol of his father.
The incident took place in Kaliabor under the Uluwani police outpost in Nagaon district.

Manoj, the 4-year-old son of Tilak Bordoloi, an assistant sub-inspector at Uluwani police outpost, was accidentally shot on Monday while playing with his father’s service pistol at the quarter of the police officer.

Manoj, who received an injury in the head, is currently undergoing treatment at Assam‘s Tezpur Medical College Hospital.

Only after investigation, it would come to light how did the bullet from the service pistol of a responsible police sub-inspector injure his son.

The investigation process is yet to get a boost as the residence of the police officer has remained locked.
The in-charge of the Uluwani police outpost, Naba Kumar Das, informed that high-level authorities, accompanied by a magistrate, will continue the investigation into the incident.
