Guwahati: Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary has expressed confidence that his party will secure at least two seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam.

Mohilary claimed that the BPF would surely secure two Lok Sabha seats – Kokrajhar and Darrang-Udalguri.

He also stated that one of the winning candidates from BPF will clinch a position in the Union Cabinet.

Mohilary emphasized the party’s strength beyond the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), noting significant support from non-Bodo majority districts.

He claimed about a growing presence and support base in constituencies such as Sipajhar, Dalgaon, Mangaldoi, and Rangia, with expectations of securing approximately 2 lakh votes from these areas.

Mohilary reiterated BPF’s commitment to support the alliance forming the government at the Centre, expressing confidence that this allegiance would result in a Cabinet berth for one of their MPs post-election.
