The charred bodies of two fire fighters of Oil India Limited (OIL) were recovered on Wednesday from the Baghjan production well site in eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district.

The bodies of the fire fighters were recovered by the SDRF-NDRF team from the site.

The fire fighters have been identified as Durlav Gogoi and Tileswar Gohain.

The two fire fighters of OIL were missing since Tuesday after a massive fire that broke out at the Baghjan production well of Oil India Limited in upper Assam’s Tinsukia.

After the fire broke out at the production well of Baghjan 5, fire tenders of OIL were pressed into service to douse the inferno.

On Tuesday, a massive fire broke out at the production well of Baghjan 5 under Baghjan Oil field of OIL, which was blownout on May 27.
