Suddenly Sudip and Bibhakar drowned in the waters and went missing.

The water level of the waterfalls was rising in the last two days due to incessant rains in the Karbi hills.

The incident took place in the evening on Sunday.

On being informed, a team of Dolmara police station rushed to the incident spot and rescued the others.

Due to darkness at night, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team could not carry out the search operation and the bodies of the two youths were recovered during the operation launched in the morning on Monday.

The two bodies have been sent to Golaghat civil hospital for conducting post-mortem.
