On the lines of the opening up of a new store, Manik Chand Jewellers, Big Boss reality show winner for season 2018-19, Dipika Kakkar, said, “Big Boss in my house is my mother, but, as for my motherland, it is none other than Prime Minister, Narendra Damodardas Modi.

The store, located at Imperial Mall at Club Road in Silchar, was inaugurated by Big Boss 12 winner Dipika Kakkar and Kesri Devi Soni, senior most member of the Manik Chand family, on Wednesday.

The inaugural event was witnessed by loyalists of the brand who lauded the impeccable craftsmanship and thought provoking jewellery designs that were on display. Spread across 2500 sq.ft, the outlet has a plethora of designs, each stamped in hallmarked gold and certified diamonds.

Speaking to Northeast Now, Dipika Kakar said, “The store has a wide range of jewellery items and people of every age group can get their ornamental items of their choice.

Dipika Kakkar added, “I have visited Silchar for the very first time and have fallen in love with the pristine natural beauty of this part of the country.

B.K. Soni, director of Manik Chand Jewellers, talking to this correspondent, said, “As a brand, our goal is to make jewellery accessible for our loyalists across the eastern and north-eastern region. A lot of our customers travel from Silchar to our other stores. So to make their jewellery buying experience more comfortable we have launched the Silchar outlet, today.”

He added, “I have found this part of the state very peaceful and hope to expand my niche to the people of Barak valley in the days to come.”
