In a bid to allay the fear and apprehension of the people post final draft publication of National Register of Citizens (NRC), the Panery unit of All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) organized an awareness meet at Panery Tea Estate in Udalguri district of Assam on Monday.
The representatives of the students’ body apprised the people that genuine citizens of the country irrespective of colour, caste, creed, community and religion will be included in the NRC.

They also assured of all logistic support and co-operation for those whose names didn’t figure in the final draft NRC.
The students’ body members exhorting the people to co-operate with the administration in maintaining proper law and order situation, appealed to the district administration to keep strict vigil on the nefarious attempts of anti-social elements if any.
The meet was addressed by joint secretary of Udalguri AASAA, Lakhinder Mula; president and secretary of Panery AASAA, Raja Ekka and Tilak Roshan Bara respectively.
