In a bid to inculcate scientific temperament among the students, Harisinga revenue circle officer (A) Manisha Nath inaugurated an Atal Tinkering Lab at Arunodoi Academy in Tangla town of Udalguri district on Saturday.
Atal Tinkering Lab is an approach of the central government to create an environment of innovation, creativity amongst the students.

The Government of India has allocated financial support in the form of grant-in-aid for establishing the Atal Tinkering Lab which is an initiative of NITI Aayog.

Speaking on the occasion, Harisinga revenue circle officer (A) Manisha Nath asserted that the lab would foster curiosity, creativity and imagination among the students.

The event was graced as chief guest by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) executive member Sanjit Tanti, who encouraged the young minds to imbibe scientific temperament.
Tanti said the lab will further empower the students to find innovative solutions to the problems faced by the society.
Earlier, the Principal of Arunodoi Junior College, Dr. Pranabjyoti Das spoke on the achievements and track record of the students of the institute, who have represented various state and national level events on scientific innovation including the National Children Science Congress.
“The lab will help the students imbibe imagination and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, etc. and students of all the government and private schools of the region will be able to use the facilities of Atal Tinkering Lab,” Das said.
Technical expert Rajib Ranjan, science activist Jayanta Kumar Das also spoke on the occasion.
