Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) chief executive member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang drained Rs 50 crore in the recently-held BTC election, said Hagrama Mohilary in Bokajan.

“CEM Tuliram Ronghang had provided Rs 50 crore to Himanta Biswa Shama for meeting expenses in BTC Election. The money has been swindled from KAAC funds,” Mohilary said on Saturday while campaigning for Congress candidate Ratan Engti in Bokajan.

Mohilary was accompanied by Nagoan MP Pradyut Bordoloi and APCC Spokesperson Apurba Bhattacharya.

The meeting was attended by a handful of Bodo voters among supporters and party workers.

While addressing the gathering, Mohilary requested everyone to vote in favour of Congress.

He said about the implementation of Article 244(A) in the hill district of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao.

Mohilary also slammed BTC chief Pramod Boro and said that he have sold the Bodo community to BJP in Delhi.

“The Bodo people residing outside the BTC area don’t recognize Pramod Boro and he has no influence among them. These people shall vote for Congress in the ensuing polls scheduled on April 1,” Mohilary added.
