The first phase of the Assam Assembly election will be held on March 27 (Saturday) in 47 constituencies.
A total of 264 candidates are contesting in 47 constituencies, which will go to poll in the first phase.
There are 81, 09,815 general electors in the first phase out of which 40, 77,210 are males, 40, 32,481 are females and 124 are transgender.
