Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda released the party’s manifesto for the ensuing Assam Assembly election 2021 with 10 commitments.
But the election manifesto of the BJP avoided the most vital issues of Assam, including the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), implementation of the Clause 6 of Assam Accord and ST status for six communities in its list of 10 commitments.

Most of the promises included in the manifesto the promises made during the 2016 Assembly elections.
The BJP, which has failed miserably to bring a solution to the flood issue in Assam, promised to solve the problem if it is voted to power in the state again.
The BJP after coming to power in Assam announced that it would carry out dredging in river Brahmaputra, but the government did nothing in the last 5 years.

JP Nadda after releasing the manifesto, called ‘Sankalp Patra’, announced that if the party is voted to power in Assam, its government will dredge the Brahmaputra from Sadiya to Dhubri and create ponds and lake to solve the flood problem.

The BJP, which has started increasing its vote bank by creating beneficiaries through government schemes, announced to increase the amount of payment from Rs 830 to Rs 3,000 per month under the Arunoday scheme.
The BJP, whose leaders including Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma demanded scrapping of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) which was published under the supervision of the Supreme Court, announced to correct the register.

The BJP, which came to power in 2016 with a promise to provide jobs for 25 lakh youths in Assam and could provide jobs to only 80,000, again promised 1 lakh government jobs within March 31, 2022 and total 2 lakh jobs in 5 years.
The party has also promised 8 lakh jobs in the private sector.
The saffron party has promised to form a Task Force for the protection of Namghars and Satras and promised Rs 2.5 lakh financial assistance.
The party has also promised to provide bicycles for students from Class VIII.
However, the BJP, which earlier announced that the CAA issue would not make any impact in the ensuing Assam Assembly election, did not mention a single word regarding the vital issue in its 10 commitments, fearing repercussions.
