Assam: Army, CRPF organize blood donation camps in Chirang, Kokrajhar

Army personnel of Red Horns Division in Chirang district of Assam organized a blood donation camp on Thursday at the Army camp situated at Kajalgaon in the district.

The initiative was taken by the Army on the occasion of ‘World Blood Donor Day’.

Deputy Commissionerm of Chirang inaugurated the event.

The blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the blood bank of the civil hospital of Bongaigaon.

A total of 210 volunteers participated in the event.

The event was organized by the Army to contribute to the society and especially to the health sector for the betterment of humanity.

Meanwhile, 129 BN of the CRPF, Kokrajhar, observed World Blood Donors Day with a day-long programme at Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar district of Assam.

At least 50 CRPF jawans have donated blood on the occasion.
