An arms smuggling racket has been busted by the police in Assam’s Karimganj district.

A team of officials from the Badarpur police station and BSF busted the arms smuggling racket at Badarpur Bazaar area.
As many as four pistols and one pen pistol have been recovered during the raid.

Meanwhile, two persons have also been arrested by the police in connection with the case.
“Arms smuggling racket busted! A joint team of Badarpur PS and BSF recovered 4 pistols and 1 pen pistol from 2 persons in Badarpur Bazaar area. Timely intervention prevented these lethal weapons from falling into the wrong hands!” Kokrajhar Police tweeted.
