Based on specific inputs a cache of arms and ammunition were recovered by Udalguri police on Monday night which were buried at a forest in Khowrang area of Assam’s Udalguri district.

A team of police led by additional superintendent of police, Bidyut Das Boro recovered a SLR rifle and six rounds of ammuntion, a 7.65 mm pistol and two rounds of ammunition, a  chinese grenade and a walkie talkie set from the forest in Khowrang area under Udalguri police station.

Though no one has been arrested in this connection, police are investigating the matter.
