Darrang district reported the death of another COVID-19 patient, an official source informed.
According to official sources, one Swapan Saha (45), a resident of Kharupetia town, died at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) on Thursday night.
Earlier, he was admitted to the hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, in the last thirty-six hours Darrang has registered a total of 209 COVID-19 cases.
With these, the overall figure has reached 1172 in the district.
However, a total of 787 patients have recovered and they have been discharged from the hospitals and COVID care centres.
