After a brief lull, another person tested COVID-19 postive in Assam.
The latest case is of Bilasipara in Dhubri district.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announcement the latest development.
The person has a history of being in touch with another patient, who was part of Athgaon Majid congregation in Guwahati.
Sarma tweeted:
‘A man from Bilasipara, Dhubri has tested #COVID positive. He has a history of being in touch with another patient, who was part of Athgaon Majid congregation in Guwahati.
The number of patients is now 35.’
With this total number of COVID-19 cases in the State has rose to 35.
The state recorded one death.
While 19 persons infected with coronavirus have already been discharged from various hospital in the State over the last couple of days after being cured.
