The annual Mahesh Chandra Deva Goswami Memorial Award for highest marks holder in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination from Dhakuwakhona sub-division in Lakhimpur district of Assam was presented to Barlina Chamuah on Saturday.

The presentation ceremony was held at the historic Sri Sri Vasudev Than Naruwa Satra near Dhakuwakhona on Saturday.

Barlina was selected for her result in the HSLC-2018 examination.

A presentation ceremony was organized at the cultural hall of the Naruwa Satra on that occasion which was chaired by the president of the organizing committee Mularam Medak.

The award presentation ceremony was attended by Dr Amal Chandra Dutta, associate professor of Dhakuwakhona College as chief guest. In his address Dr Dutta urged the student community to focus on their studies sincerely while paying respects to their teachers and parents.

He also asked the students to follow a well-planned study routine to attain expected success in their academic pursuits.

The Satradhikar of Naruwa Satra Rupendra Deva Goswami, the secretary of Basudev Than Development Committee Durlabh Chandra Deva Goswami, the principal of Dhakuwakhona Girls College Hira Chamuah and many others were also present at the function.

The annual award is given in memory of Mahesh Chandra Deva Goswami, former Satradhikar of Sri Sri Vasudev Than Naruwa Satra. The award carries a silver medal, a sarai and a packet of books.
