The noble initiative has been taken by Gyani for the first time in Assam as a pilot project and a total of 10 schools of the district namely Satrasal HS Vidyapeeth and Kachakhana HS School of Agomoni Education Block, Dhepdhepi HS School of Golakganj Education Block, PC Institute, Government Boys HS School, Government Girls HS School  of Gauripur Education Block, Bangalipara ME Madrasa, Borkanda People’s Academy, Raniganj HS School of Bilasipara Education Block and Chapar HS School of Chapar Education Block has been included in the first phase.

The intervention will begin with Grade VIII students with Assamese-medium as instruction and three subjects namely Mathematics, Science and Social Science will be covered. Eckovation Solutions of New Delhi, who is also providing the technical support for ‘Unnayan Banka’, which was recently awarded the PM Excellence Award for Innovation, will be in charge of creating audio-visual contents in accordance with the syllabus of Grade VIII while the quality will be checked and approved at the district level. Steps are also under way to get the content certified from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

One hour will be allocated to Abhyudaya class every day and during that period, the contextual questions will help stimulate discussion in the class and the teacher present will dispel doubts. It is the task of the concerned teacher to send the “performance report” of each student every day to the Eckovation team and then the digitised marks will be analysed and feedbacks will be sent to the district administration and the individual school concerned in order to “further train up the students as per their performance”.
