BTC chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro on Monday said all the members of the newly-floated militant organisation, National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB), will come to the mainstream.
CEM Boro said, “The leaders along with cadres of the extremist organization, NLFB, have already realized and returned to the mainstream so far in two phases. I hope that all of them will return to the mainstream and be involved in community development.”

Boro visited various places in Bijni sub-division of Chirang district on Monday to take stock of the issues relating to developmental activities.
Boro first held a review meeting with the sub-divisional heads of various departments to take stock of the developmental activities being carried out in the presence of the additional deputy commissioner and in-charge sub-divisional officer (civil), Bijni, Dibakar Nath.
The programme was held in the conference hall of the office of Bijni sub-divisional officer at Bijni.

This was followed by a visit by Boro to Bijni Bandhav Higher Secondary School.
He visited the ongoing construction site of the Polytechnic College at Gargaon.
Boro also inspected the erosion-affected areas at Charapet, Dwimuguri and Malipara villages to assess the condition.
He also visited Ulubari high school, Veterinary office and Panbari High school.
During his visit to the sub-division, he was accompanied by BTC executive members Ranjit Basumtary and Dhananjay Basumtary along with Bijni district’s UPPL leaders.
In a statement to the media, CEM Boro said the infrastructures of some government offices in Bijni sub-division urgently need repair and all those would be done within two years and made usable.
He expressed hope that in the forthcoming Assembly by-elections, the UPPL would make a friendly contest with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Gana Suraksha Party (GSP).
