Guwahati: Air India Express has further solidified its position as a leading low-cost carrier in India by inaugurating Agartala as its 46th domestic destination. The airline has also launched five new routes, offering more convenient travel options for passengers.
On Sunday, Air India Express commenced daily direct flights between Agartala and Guwahati, Agartala and Kolkata, Hyderabad and Guwahati, Bengaluru and Vijayawada, and Bengaluru and Indore, the airlines said in a statement.

This expansion significantly enhances connectivity across India, providing passengers with more choices for their travel needs, it added.
With the addition of Agartala, Air India Express now operates 14 weekly flights from the city, connecting to various destinations including Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, and Kochi.
Guwahati, on the other hand, has seen a boost in connectivity with 77 weekly flights offered by Air India Express. The city is now directly connected to eight destinations and has one-stop connections to 20 domestic and four international destinations.

Indore and Vijayawada have also been added to Air India Express’ network, with flights connecting to various destinations including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sharjah, and more.
This expansion of Air India Express’ network is expected to boost tourism and trade in the regions served, providing more accessible and affordable travel options for both domestic and international travelers.
