In Guwahati, the demonstrations were led by AASU President Dipanka Nath. Over 300 AASU activists took part in the sit-in protest held at Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati.
The protestors while demanding early implementation of the Clause 6 of Assam Accord chanted slogans against the BJP-led Assam Government.
“No more assurances, we want results,” the protestors demanded.

Besides implementation of the Clause 6 of the Assam Accord, AASU also raised several key issues affecting the State.
Big dams, floods and erosion problems among other issues were also raised by the AASU protestors.
In Mangaldoi, the AASU activists demonstrated along the national Highway 15 near the ASTC campus.
Chanting slogans against the BJP Governments in the Centre and Assam, the AASU activists in Mangaldoi demanded declaration of perennial flood and erosion problem in Assam a national disaster.
