Guwahati: A 25-year-old man was allegedly killed after being attacked by unidentified persons in Baksa, Assam on Wednesday.
As per reports, the incident took place at the Pakhamara village in Baksa, Assam.

Police said that the deceased has been identified as Ramani Baishya.

He was a resident of the same area.

The victim was accompanied by another youth who too was attacked by the assailants and was injured severely.

The person injured has been identified as Rakesh Lahari.
Both of them were stabbed with a sharp weapon.
Police have initiated an investigation and the injured is currently under medical observation at a hospital in Nalbari.
Police said that while locals near the area rescued both the men, Baishya succumbed to the injuries while being taken to the hospital.
