COVID-19 death tally in Assam rose to 667 as 12 more deaths were reported in the state on Monday.

“Very sad & anguished to informed that 12 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease,” tweeted health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

“My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief,” he added.

Two deaths have been recorded from Sivasagar, Golaghat, and Tinsukia districts while one death was recorded from Dibrugarh, Charaideo, Barpet, Sonitpur, Kamrup (Metro) and Kamrup (Rural).
