DIBRUGARH: An 11-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car of the Assam police department.
This tragic incident has been reported from Moran in Dibrugarh district of Assam.

The deceased young girl has been identified as Rashmita Guar.
The girl was hit by the police vehicle, when she was on her way to enjoy Durga Puja festivities at a pandal in her locality with her mother.
The girl was immediately rushed to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for treatment.

However, she succumbed to the injuries and died.
According to sources, the Assam police car, involved in the accident, was in high speed.
The family members of the victim claimed that the car was used by Anup Gayan – officer in-charge of Bamunbari police station in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
An FIR has been lodged by the victim’s family against the accused cop.
