Along with this, he made several other statements which did not go well with other BJP leaders.

Mrinal Saikia taking the issue on social media asked the Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma to “tell” Jayanta Mallabaruah to keep his “mouth shut” on party affairs claiming that his (Mallabaruah’s) style of talking had spoiled thousands of votes belonging to the BJP in 2024.

Saikia on his official X handle wrote, “Respected HCM @himantabiswa sir, pl tell @jayanta_malla to keep his mouth shut about party affairs. He should realise by now that his style of talking has already spoiled thousands of @bjp4assam votes in this #election2024.”

It may be mentioned that earlier Ashok Sarma was served with a show-cause notice for his statements on the media regarding internal party affairs and criticizing the government.
