Arunachal: Liromoba MLA lauds frontline workers fighting COVID-19

Liromoba legislature Nyamar Karbak recently visited the community health centres (CHC) at Yomcha and Kamba and the primary health centres (PHC) at Darak and Liromoba in West Siang district and reviewed the preparedness for managing COVID-19.

During the meetings which followed the visits to the health centres, Karbak appreciated the efforts made by the healthcare workers, especially the medical officers-in-charge of the PHCs and CHCs during the crisis and assured all possible health from his end.

The MLA also lauded the steps taken so far by the West Siang district administration in regards to stringent adherence to lockdown measures, setting up quarantine centres, screening and contact tracing of returnees and all other meticulous works it is carrying out following the pandemic.

“We are all aware of the risks that the healthcare workers, police and other frontline workers take on a daily basis to keep us save from the virus and we will be forever grateful to them,” said Karbak, while appealing all for their support to fight the pandemic.

Besides extending some financial assistance, the MLA also distributed some personal protection equipment (PPEs) and other essentials to the PHCs and CHCs.
