Dr KP Krishnan, Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship inaugurated an artificial rock climbing wall at the premises of Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati on Thursday.
The wall was set up under its Business Incubation Centre on Adventure Tourism, sponsored by the North Eastern Council, Shillong, with technical support from the Assam Mountaineering Association (AMA), Guwahati.

Dr KP Krishnan speaking at the occasion lauded the initiative of the IIE, AMA and Assam Sport Climbing Association to organize the Bimal Chandra Goswami Memorial North East Sport Climbing Competition on the Artificial Rock Climbing Wall on March 24-25.
He added that Northeast has a huge potential of promoting adventure sports and adventure tourism as a business venture.
IIE Director Manoj K Das said the artificial rock climbing wall would be open for all to practice.
