England’s premier league football team Arsenal has expressed its solidarity with the Assam flood victims.
The popular football club shared an Instagram video in which the club says they stand with the people of Assam
“We are with you” message in English was quickly followed by the translated message in Assamese “Aami Aso Aponalukor Logot” in the 5-second video.
The video was also shared by popular actor Adil Hussain.
“Arsenal FC #ArsenalFC @Arsenal stands with Assamese People. I don’t understand why, then, our Celebrities, Mainstream Media, Cricket Stars are not raising their voices in support of Assamese people! So disappointed with you all,” Hussain tweeted.

Meanwhile, Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri also expressed his solidarity with the flood-hit people of Assam.
In a tweet, Chhetri said, “Along with the prayers, Asam needs as much attention and help as possible to recover from the floods it is under. There been considerable loss of life-both man and animal, and I can only sincerely hope that numbers don’t rise. #AssamFloods.”
