The Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology made its mark yet again in the Dibrugarh University degree examinations results of which were declared on Saturday.
Atifa Reshma Parveen from the Assamese department and Peenaz Sahnia Ahmed from the English department of Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology in Hojai district of Assam secured first class third positions in the degree (major) examinations of 2018 of Dibrugarh University results of which were declared on Saturday.
On the other hand Peenaz also secured distinction in her honours subject.
The exemplary results of both the girls have naturally given reasons for the college to celebrate.
Another student of the college Rummana Begum secured 11th position in the same examination.
Altogether 79 students took this year’s examination and the pass percentage is 100 per cent.
Among them, 53 students secured first class while 20 students secured second class.
In the science stream 21 among 26 students who took the examinations secured first class.
Meanwhile, parliamentarian Badaruddin Ajmal who also heads the Ajmal CSR and trustee of Ajmal Foundation and parliamentarian Sirajuddin Ajmal have congratulated the successful students as well as the teaching faculty of the Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology.
General Manager of Ajmal Foundation Khasrul Islam and principal of Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology Sofika Begum also lauded the success of the students and also congratulated the teachers for their untiring efforts.
