Former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi, who is undergoing treatment in the ICU of Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), has sought blessings from the people of the state.
Gogoi sought the blessings of the people while addressing the media in an audio clip from the intensive care unit (ICU).
“I want to go ahead with social service. I have sought the blessings of the people. People will always love me. I express thanks to all,” the former three-time Assam CM is heard saying in the audio clip.
“I could not have done it without the blessings of the people and the God,” Gogoi said in a voice choked with emotion.

Gogoi was admitted to the GMCH for the second time at 10.30 pm on Sunday after his oxygen level dropped suddenly.
He was also provided non-invasive ventilation.
But on Monday a fake news report over Gogoi’s health status was circulated on social media saying that he “died” at the hospital.
Gogoi returned home on October 25 after his recovery from Covid19.
He was being treated for Covid19 in GMCH after he had tested positive on August 26.
He was also earlier admitted to the ICU after his oxygen level had dropped.
