Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday administered the agreement signing for two solar power projects of 70 MW each at Dima Hasao and Amguri in Sivasagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal said, “This historic signing of agreements will herald a new dawn in clean power generation sector in the state.”

“Assam government has achieved considerable success in fulfilling the aim of providing electricity to 68 lakh families of the state,” Sonowal said.
The three agreements signed on Saturday were-
- Power sale agreement between APDCL and NC Hills Autonomous Council for 70 MW Solar Power Project to be installed at Dima Hasao
- The power purchase agreement between APDCL and Jackson Power Private Limited
- Land lease and implementation support agreement between APDCL and Jackson Power Private Limited for the 70 MW Solar Power Project at Amguri Solar Park in Sivasagar
