All BTC Minority Students’ Union (ABMSU) president Ashraful Islam appealed the Muslim community to avoid Eid shopping and public gathering.

“Every Muslim should abide by the rules and regulations that the administration and the government have chalked out,” Islam said in a statement.

He said that people should jointly fight against the threat of COVID-19 by maintaining social distancing.

Asking people to refrain themselves from Eid celebrations, Islam also urged the ABMSU members to generate awareness on COVID-19 in the Muslim dominated areas of BTAD.

“Coronavirus can be defeated through awareness. I request our organisation members to visit the Muslim dominated areas of BTAD and urge the people to not venture out of their homes without reasons,” Islam said.
