Nine Guwahati-based journalists have been selected for GNRC Media Fellowship Programme 2018, where the fellows will study the overall healthcare situation and probable initiatives for the benefit of common people in the coming days.

The session is expected to start from the first week of April and each fellow will receive a lump sum remuneration of rupees 10,000 from the management of GNRC Group of Hospitals.

The fellows are expected to attend regular interactive sessions with the physicians in the pioneer healthcare institute and report about their experiences in their respective media outlets.

“The output of the fellowship programme is expected to help the policymakers in formulating schemes for the development of medical care and infrastructures in our region,” said Dr NC Borah, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of GNRC Hospitals, stated a Guwahati Press Club press communiqué.

The selected fellows are Hemanta Borah (Asomiya Pratidin), Mukut Roy (Dainik Agradoot), Deepu Kumar Bairagi (Amar Asom), Dhirumoni Gogoi (Dainik Janambhumi), Pranabjyoti Dutta (Dainik Janambhumi), Nitali Sarmah (Asomiya Khabar), Jonmoni Gogoi (Asomiya Khabar), Sandeep Kumar Sharma (Pratah Khabar) and Kaustove Moni Kakoty (Pratidin Time).
