Security forces along with Assam police have arrested two smugglers and unearthed a huge cache of explosives from the Mallidor village along the Assam-Meghalaya border.
The police recovered the explosives while they were being smuggled out in a car by the two individuals.
The security forces along with police officials conducted the joint operation after receiving specific information about smuggling activities along the inter-state border.

The explosives included 542 gelatine explosives, 600 electronic detonators and Indian currency worth Rs 11260.
The two apprehended individuals along with recoveries were handed over to the Gumrah Police Station for further investigations.
