Eighteen more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to COVID19 infections in Assam on Wednesday, taking the state’s death toll to 396.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday night said: “Very sad & anguished to inform that 18 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease.”
The COVID19 victims have been identified as Abdul Hague (65), Dipti Moni Gogoi (44), Eid Muhammad (63) and Phuleswari Deka (58) of Dibrugarh; Indeshwar Das (56) of Charaideo; K.Jndiya (50), Labanya Baruah (79) and Mothang Chutia (60) of Tinsukia.
The other victims have been identified as Tayeb Alom Bora (68) of Sivasagar; Bishnu Pada Saha (50), Biva Rani Saha (70) and Gosto Chandra Barman (59) of Dhubri; Jagdish Ch Das (80) and Madhabananda Goswami (84) Kamrup Metro have.
Golap Chandra Das (60) of Bongaigaon; Rajani Kanta Haloi (72) and Prafulla Kalita (64) of Nalbari, and Bhumi Dutta Sharmah (64) of Sonitpur have also succumbed to COVID19 infection on Wednesday.
“My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief,” health minister Sarma said.
