A two-day Workshop on Arduino and Raspberry Pi (WAR-2019), organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), has started on Saturday at the Azara campus of the University on outskirts of Guwahati in Assam.
A total of 18 participants is participating in the workshop, including participants from other engineering institutes of the State.

The workshop kicked off with a formal inaugural session, lighting the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries present and a prayer by pro vice chancellor of ADBU – Fr Joseph Nellanat.
Prof P K Brahma – Director of Girijananda Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Guwahati and retied principal of Assam Engineering College, graced the occasion as the chief guest; along with the other dignitaries from ADBU – Prof Manoranjan Kalita (Director, School of Technology, ADBU), P Joseph (HoD, Dept of HSS), Prof Shakuntala Laskar (HoD, Dept. of EEE), and Faculty and Staff Members of EEE department, ADBU.
The main objective of the workshop is to give the participants an insight of various applications of Arduino and Raspberry-Pi, the former being an open-source platform to develop engineering projects whereas the later is a handy small single-board computer.
