A strong team of women boxers have been selected for the Assam team to participate in the 2nd Senior Women’s National Boxing Championship which is going to be held from January 5 to January 12, 2018 in Rohtak.
The players are attending a camp at Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre at Kokrajhar which will continue till January 2.

Following are the players to be selected for the national championship – Rinkumoni Phukan (48kg), Manju Basumatary (51kg) Jamuna Boro (54kg), Anjima Khaklary (57kg), Pwilao Basumatary (60kg), Anjali Mushahary (64kg), Lovlina Borgohain (69kg), Alary Boro (75 kg). The team will be coached by Geeta Sanu and Nawaz Hussain Khan while Mantu Injal has been announced as the manager.
The officials of Assam Boxing Association (ABA) has expressed hope that the girls will perform to their ability and bring laurels to the State.
