Dibrugarh: Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday filed his nomination for Lok Sabha elections in Dibrugarh deputy commissioner’s office.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accompanied Sonowal to the Dibrugarh DC office during his nomination filing.

Accompanied by senior BJP leader Mahendra Singh and party’s alliance partner Asom Gana Parishad’s president Atul Bora, Sonowal filed his nomination.

Sonowal along with his huge supporters reached the Dibrugarh DC office at 12 pm.

“BJP will definitely form the next government in Assam with the help of the people and its alliance partners — the AGP and UPPL,” Sonowal told reporters.

Over 2000 people accompanied him during his nomination filing.
