Dhubri police on Tuesday arrested two persons including the assistant teacher of Adabari M E School of Dhubri district in Assam following the incident of brutal attack upon a TET qualified teacher of the same school.
Adabari M E School is located 10 km away from Dhubri district headquarter.
The victim TET teacher, Tasmina Begum had lodged a complaint before the College Nagar Town outpost against the alleged school teacher Nazrul Islam and other five other persons on Monday.
In her complaint, Tasmina Begum has further alleged that under the instigation of her colleague Nazrul Islam, a group of 20-25 persons has entered the school on Monday and attacked her where she sustained serious injuries on her neck and face.
“On June, 20 during the second unit test examination in the school, I noticed that students were involved in unfair means and as she protested over it, the alleged teacher became aggressive. And on Monday, he hired other persons to school and assaulted me,” said Tasmina Begum.
Dhubri police arrested two persons namely Jahirul Islam and Nur Alom into the matter while massive hunt is on for the other persons involved in the Monday’s incidents.
Meanwhile on Tuesday noon, for legislator of Dhubri, Zahanuddin, along with six teachers of Adabari M E School including the headmistress Narzina Begum staged a sit-in demonstration in front of the office of the Supertendent of Police, Dhubri and demanded to release assistant teacher (Jahirul Islam) of the school
