Guwahati: Three insurgents were killed during a gunfight with Assam police in Cachar’s Bhuban Hills on Tuesday night.
According to reports, the incident happened on Tuesday night in Bhuban Hills when Cachar police officials were attacked by the insurgents.
Out of the three insurgents who were killed, two belonged to Assam’s Cachar district while one was from Manipur.
According to reports the Assam Police officials arrested three insurgents from Dhalai in Cachar district on Tuesday evening. The police also recovered an AK-47 rifle from the terrorists.
All three terrorists were taken to Bhuban Hills for an operation where there was an exchange of gunfights between the security forces and insurgents.
According to information received three police personnel were also injured during the one-hour-long battle with the insurgents.
