A day-long teachers’ training programme was held at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Tangla, on Friday. The objective of the Guide Teachers’ training programme was to give a thorough knowhow to the teachers for the forthcoming Children’s Science Congress to be held at Udalguri in September this year.

Nearly, 60 teachers participated in the workshop and they were imparted training on how to guide students on Science projects.

The session was organised by the Udalguri district unit of the National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC). The district academic co-ordinator, NCSC, Deepa Sarma, provided insights into the programme and said that it would help the teachers to acquire the necessary skills and develop a scientific temperament to help students complete their science projects.

The District Co-ordinator, NCSC Udalguri, Gajendra Baruah, Vice-president district organising committee, NCSC, Jhumar Bahadur Chetry, district academic chairman, Sanjib Sarma, also spoke on the occasion.

The focal theme for NCSC 2018 is ‘Science, Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation’.
