Supernova Club will lock horn with Postal Clun in the final of the first Anupam Das memorial All Assam T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by 22-Yards Glory, Guwahati in Mangaldai.
In the first semi final played at the Mangaldai stadium on Friday, Supernova registered an easy four wickets win over Maharana Athletic Club.
Electing to field first by winning the toss Supernova restricted their opponent 141 for nine in the stipulated overs due to disciplined bowling performance from Kalyan Gogoi (3/29) and Abhilash Gogoi (2/16).
For Maharana, Raja Lama (35) , Pradip Sarkar ( 26) and Sunil Lachit (17) contributed well. In reply Supernova reached their target loosing six wickets with one over to spare.
Man of the Match Abhilash Gogoi and Gunjanjyoti Deka score 26 each while Divash Hazarika made 20 . Kalam Raja (3/13) was the most successful bowler for Maharana.
In the other semi final of the day Postal Club outclassed Evergreen, Goalpara by seven wickets to ensure title clash for them . Batting first after calling the coin correctly, Evergreen managed to score meager 128 runs for nine in the stipulated overs as Postal bowlers –Bikash Chetry (2/11) , Sidharth Sarma (2/25) and Bitop Mahanta (1/28) didn’t allow the Evergreen batsmen to score freely.
Only Gaurav Thakuria (42) and Bishal Magar (34) proved handy for them. Chasing the modest target Postal batsmen looked comfortable and with significant contributions from Diptosh Saha (32) , Nirendra Deka (31 n.o) and Chanakya Sarma (27 n.o) , they reached their target in 17.5 overs with four wickets in hand. Now Postal Club will face Supernova in the final on Sunday.

2nd Semi : Evergreen , Goalpara 128 for 9 in 20 overs ( Gaurav Thakuria 42 , Bishal Magar 34, , , Bikash Chetry 2/11, Sidharth lSarma 2/25, Bitop Mahanta 1/28 ) lost to Postal Club 129 for 3 in 17.5 overs ( Diptesh Saha 32 , Nirendra Deka 31 n.o. and Chanakya Sarma 27 n.o. , Jintu Kalita 2/11, Debraj Shrestra 1/15 )
