Siraseuji Sangha of Upahupara in Mangaldai of Assam’s Darrang district by virtue of their highest number of points in the points table has emerged champion in the Dr Revati Mohan Bordoloi memorial inter club super division football league organized by Mangaldai Sports Association (MSA).
In the round robin league tournament participated by eight affiliated clubs, Siraseuji collected maximum of 17 points from a total of seven matches.
They earned full three points each by winning five matches while earned remaining two points from the two drawn matches.
Uttar Mangaldai Club with 15 points became runners up while Mangaldai Town Club secured the third position in the points table.
Meanwhile, Bipul Kr Sharma, football secretary of Mangaldai Sports Assoication has informed North East Now that the organizers will ceremonially hand over the trophy and necessary certificate to the champion team on Sunday next, that is on the day of the final of the ‘A’ division league.
