As a part of special outreach campaign on ‘Ayushman Bharat’, an intensive discussion on facilities of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was organized by Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Dibrugarh in association with Sangam Youth Association, an NGO of Sivasagar at Tamulichinga Musalmangaon under Kaliapani Development Block of Jorhat district on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering officials and health worker Prabin Duttta from Bhogamukh Primary Health Centre, Jorhat disseminated the basic information about facilities and use method of Ayushman Bharat card to get the benefit of medical insurance.

Moreover, he advised to maintain healthy life style, as well as importance of nutrition for mother-child and teenagers and cleanliness with a view to keep doctors away. He also conducted a spot quiz competition on ‘Ayushman Bharat’.
Pranab Kumar Nath, field publicity officer cited the aims and objective of the progamme. He said that many schemes have been introduced by the present Central Government under consideration for the uplift of health of every citizen.
Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (PM-JAY) or Ayushman Bharat aims to reduce the financial burden on poor and vulnerable groups arising out of catastrophic hospital episodes and ensure their access to quality health services. The scheme envisions health assurance of 5 lakh rupees per family per year, to benefit over 50 crore people, and is the world’s biggest health assurance scheme, he said.

The formal awareness open session was presided over by Anwar Hussain, former GP president and senior citizen of the village along with Marzina Begum, newly elected ward member as special guest. The awareness programme ended with valedictory acknowledgement and prize distribution for spot quiz competition.
