Assam Police has decided to warn against spreading fake news in the Avengers: Endgame style – a movie which has hit the theatres on Friday.
The Assam Police took to its official Twitter handle to warn against fake news. It’ new tweet went as such, “It’s Thor’sday and the Avengers are assembling. Just like Thanos, fake news is threatening our planet and its snap could affect the entire population not just the half. It’s time to believe in the hero inside each of us and bring fake news to its Endgame whatever it takes.”

The tweet also has a picture of Iron Man alias Tony Stark played by actor Robert Dawney Junior with the words ‘Have You Fallen For Fake News’ written on it.
Last year, Assam Police issued a warning against spreading fake news by referring to Bohemian Rhapsody, a famous song of the British rock band Queen which was released in the year 1975.
It tweeted,” Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see. Real life is not a fantasy. Fact check before you forward. There’s no escape from reality. Mama, I don’t wanna lie. Don’t Fake It.”
The movie Avengers: Endgame released on Friday and movie buffs are making a beeline for the theatres to watch the film.
Assam Police has raised its ante against fake news after two youths of Guwahati lost their lives in Karbi Anglong last year.
On June 8 last year, two friends — Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath — were killed in Karbi Anglong by an irate mob on suspicion of being child-lifters.
