The Assam police have planned fill up 2000 vacant posts in the state. The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has invited applications for the recruitment of the vacancies for various posts in the department.

The filling of online applications will commence from June 15 and end on June 30.

No fees are required for filling up of online applications. To apply, one must be a citizen of India and his/her age should be between 18 years to 38 years.

Applications must be submitted online through the Assam Police or SLPRB website.

Eligibility Criteria:

UDA-cum- Accountant: Graduate in Commerce

Stenographer Grade-III: Graduate in any discipline

Lower Division Assistant: Graduate in any discipline

Bench Assistant: Graduate in any discipline

Typist: Graduate in any discipline

Data Entry Operator: HSSLC passed

Copyist: HSSLC passed

Office Peon: Class VIII passed

Chowkidar: Class VIII passed

Salary:

UDA-cum- Accountant: Rs 35000

Stenographer Grade-III: Rs 35000

Lower Division Assistant: Rs 30000

Bench Assistant: Rs 30000

Typist: Rs 30000

Data Entry Operator: Rs 10000

Copyist: Rs 9000

Office Peon: Rs 9000

Chowkidar: Rs 9000

Selection Procedure:

Candidates whose applications are found to be correct will be notified to appear for a written test at a convenient venue through a call letter. There will be a common written test for UDA-cum-Accountant, Stenographer Gr.III, LDA, Bench Assistant and Typist. Similarly, there will be one common written test for Data Entry Operator and Copyist. There will be Practical Test for the posts of Stenographer, Lower Division Assistant, Bench Assistant, Typist, Data Entry Operator & Copyist. For the post of Office Peon and Chowkidar, there will be Physical Test and Viva Voce.

Written Examination:

The written test will be of 100 marks and will comprises questions from the following-

  • Logical reasoning, aptitude, (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India, (iii) Comprehension and (iv) General Knowledge and Current Affairs .

The answers will have to be marked in an OMR sheet. Candidates will have to use black ball pen only to mark the correct answers in the OMR sheet.
