On July 23, the Assam police in a joint operation with military intelligence had recovered 11 country-made rifles from Kokrajhar’s Dakshin Galajoda area.

Later, DGP Singh wrote on X that the operation was in continuation against hidden weapons from the “dark days of militancy,” and such operations would continue to “scour the entire state and remove all vestiges of militancy.”
