The Pathsala Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad on Friday staged protest against the terror attacks at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir where 44 CRPF jawans were killed on Thursday.

The protesters burnt the Pakistani flag and expressed their angst and frustration over the deadly attack by militants belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) who targeted a CRPF convoy with SUV-borne IED explosives, destroying vehicles and martyring several jawans.

The activists shouted slogans against Pakistan.

They demanded immediate action against the attackers.

They also lit earthen lamps in front of the photographs of the martyrs.

Members of many other organisations also joined the protest programme.

It may be mentioned that on Thursday, at least 44 jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in a dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.

The list of 44 CRPF troopers, who were killed in the attack, also includes Maneswar Basumatary from Tamulpur in Baska district of Assam.

The well-planned attackers used a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device to target a CRPF bus that was part of the 70-vehicle convoy.

The convoy was on the Srinagar-Jammu highway and was on its way to Pulwama when a suicide bomber, believed  to be belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad drove an explosive-laden SUV into the bus.

The SUV was carrying explosives weighing nearly 300 kgs, say reports.
