Assam: Parimal Suklabaidya visits Bongaigaon; reviews development works

Assam minister for Forest and Environment, Excise, Fisheries etc, Parimal Suklabaidya on Wednesday visited Bongaigaon district for a review of his concerned departments.

He addressed a meeting in the late afternoon at the deputy commissioner’s office conference hall convened by Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon and reviewed the progress of various state government schemes and flagship programmes going on under Forest, Excise and Fisheries etc departments of the district along with the districts of Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Goalpara, Chirang and Barpeta to ensure proper and timely implementation of developmental works.

He started an interaction with all the departmental Heads of Offices of each district and queried about the departmental progress going on under each department.

Minister Suklabadya instructed every department to carry on their departmental works under close supervision and guidance of the deputy commissioner of their concerned districts.

He further asked all department heads to maintain smooth communication with the administration heads in terms of executing developmental schemes and ensure timely submission of progress reports of all works to the deputy commissioners so that deputy commissioner may remain aware of all works done and may intervene if needed.

He stricltly monitored various schemes and projects going on under these departments and asked officials of Forest department to emphasize on plantation and distribution of saplings and to carry out plantation drive as per necessity.

He further asked the officials of forest department to inquire about the adject number of quarries of all varieties in the district and instruct to focus on revenue generation.He then strictly monitored the progress of various schemes going on under their departments.
