High alert has been sounded across Hojai district in Assam since Wednesday ahead of Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Thursday in apprehension of subversive activities.
The district police are particularly wary of public gathering places especially in Hojai town, Lanka, Jamunamukh and Lumding railway station.

According to Hojai Police there are intelligence inputs that terrorist organizations and their sleeper cells are targeting the said places so as to spark the wanton act of devastation, evil design to forment communal clash as well as hostile instances prior to the second term of Narendra Modi.
Modi and his Cabinet collegues are scheduled to take oath on Thursday.
Since Tuesday evening all out efforts are on to foil and curb such evil activities in the localities.

Police are randomly keeping an eye on the movement of suspicious activities and also sent advisories to the localities so as to keep sharp vigilance and remain high alert on such evil suspicious movement.
